This place is a must-stop for anyone around this area. According to Wikipedia, the US Army built the first pool at these hot springs in 1942 (we can imagine this was as much a priority to them as getting the road done).
The facility is beautiful, with nice changing rooms and 2 large natural-style pools. We forgot to get overall photos of the area, so these last 2 pics are from the internet.
There’s a charming boardwalk between the parking lot and the pool. We read a sign along the boardwalk that said to watch out for moose in the swamp around us. We literally looked up from reading that sign and saw a moose (in the distance, so no need to go running in our flip flops).
